The Maison d'Ailleurs (translated as "House of Elsewhere"), is a museum of science fiction, utopia and extraordinary journeys in Yverdon-les-Bains (Switzerland). It is a non-profit foundation functioning both as a public museum and a specialized research center.

The Maison d'Ailleurs is the only public institution of its kind in the world.

Opening hours, during temporary exhibitions :

Wednesday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Saturday/Sunday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Special group visits outside of opening hours can be organized upon request, please contact us.


Office hours :
Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm

Special information :

The museum is closed until the 19th September for the creation of the new temporary exhibition "Do Robots dream about Spring? Ken Rinaldo Installations".


Admission Fees (in SFr)

Adults : 9.- (8.- for 10 people or more)
Senior citizens, students : 7.- (6.- for 10 people or more)
Children age 6 and up : 5.- (4.- for 10 people or more)
Families (3 people) : 18.-
Visiting fee outside of regular opening hours (entries + fee) : 50.- (classes), 120.- (groups)
