Dancing with the Stars

21.02.2016 – 28.08.2016

The poetic dimension of existence is undoubtedly one of the most universal and characteristic features of the human condition. Humans are indeed beings with multiple skills, but they are also and above all beings who recognise their inherent ability to create and to stand in awe before Beauty.

In an era when Culture is at times being called into question as to its “usefulness” or its ability to “change life” (Arthur Rimbaud), the Maison d’Ailleurs wished to explore in depth the question of aesthetics by reflecting on what can only be called the “Poetry of Elsewhere”. “Dancing with the Stars” invites you therefore to consider the issue of arts in the realm of science fiction and also, through the works of the company Adrien M / Claire B (“XYZT, Abstract Landscapes”), Aurélien Jeanney (Jules Verne’s Typo-graphical Journeys) as well as the studio apelab (Sequenced), the poetry that has emerged from new and modern technologies.
